One of the greatest public construction architectures of the twentieth century. It is the world's largest public recreational facilities containing 1 1/2 mile long board-walk with basketball courts, softball fields, special events and concerts. The tower, built in 1930, is a 200 foot copper- roofed symbol to those thousands of Long Islander's who can see it's lights from distances as great as twenty-five miles.
